India’s devastating second wave of Covid 19 has pushed the country’s total number of infections to 20 million and the death toll to more than 220,000. Like a wild fire, infection is heading deep into the villages now and the Indian administration continues to fail the people of India.

Parents share their houses for organising teaching sessions in small groups. They requested the teachers living in the same villages to spend few hours with their children and our teachers willingly accepted it.

Along with the Covid-19 pandemic, the country is also battling a financial pandemic. India’s GDP has crashed at the worst rate in several decades. Unemployment is high, inflation has shot up, private investment is negligible, and the government doesn’t have enough money to spend.

A small group, stayed back in our campus. They are attending to the needs of the project and collaborating with the government in fighting this virus. Anthony’s Bread provided food for the families and old people in the villages. We collaborated with the local hospitals and police stations and other public places to provide sanitisers and masks. Awareness program in the villages are held.
